Altrincham Baptist Church
Services at Altrincham Baptist Church are relaxed and friendly. You’ll be greeted by a welcome team, can sit wherever you like, the congregation sing a few songs, have a 30-minute talk based on the Bible (with translations available), and sometimes communion. Wear whatever you’re comfortable in, and feel free to just observe if you’re not sure yet.
The church offers live translation of its services into over 240 languages and is inclusive. From the North/M60: Exit at Junction 7 or 8 onto the A56 southbound toward Altrincham. Follow the A56 into the town centre, then turn left onto the A538 (Barrington Road/Stamford New Road) and follow signs toward Hale Road.
From the South/M56: Exit at Junction 6 onto the A538 (Hale Road) heading northbound toward Hale and Altrincham. The church will be on your right shortly after passing through the main Hale village area.
Parking: On street parking, 2 hours free in Sainsburys, or paid parking in Brown Street Car Park
Via Altrincham Interchange: Altrincham Interchange serves as the primary station for national rail services (Northern Rail), the Manchester Metrolink tram network, and local bus routes.
The On-Foot Connection: Upon arriving at the Interchange, exit onto Stamford New Road, turn left, and walk past the Sainsbury's. Continue onto Hale Road; the church building is roughly a 5-minute walk (approx. 200 metres) from the station.
Walking: From Altrincham town centre (Stamford Quarter), head south down Stamford New Road. The street naturally transitions into Hale Road, and the church is prominently located on the left-hand side.
Cycling: Secure bicycle locking points are located near the venue. The roads approaching the church feature standard urban pavements and slow-moving traffic suitable for cyclists.
