Wednesday Evening Readers' Group at Altrincham Library

Discover new stories, share your thoughts and unwind with fellow book lovers at Altrincham Library's Wednesday Evening Readers' Group.

There's nothing quite like getting lost in a good book, and it's even better when you can share the experience with others. This readers’ group brings together people who enjoy reading, discussing ideas and exploring a variety of authors and genres in a friendly and relaxed setting.

Each month, members read a selected title and come together to chat about the characters, themes and storylines, often uncovering fresh perspectives along the way. Whether the book is a modern bestseller, a historical drama, a moving memoir or a forgotten classic, every discussion is an opportunity to discover something new.

The group is open to everyone, and you don't need to be a literary expert to take part. Just bring your love of reading, your thoughts on the book and a willingness to join the conversation.

Upcoming reads:
- 14 October - Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson
- 11 November - Long Island by Colm Tóibín
- 9 December - Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
