St George's Church Altrincham
Welcome to St George’s, Altrincham, a local Church of England parish church since 1799 and a busy community hub in the heart of the town.
There’s much more happening here than Sundays. Throughout the week you’ll find activities for children and families, youth groups, music and singing, social groups, coffee mornings, creative activities, community events and opportunities simply to meet people and make new connections. The church hosts special events throughout the year, from family activities and live music to seasonal celebrations and community gatherings. The church is kept open as much as possible to allow you to explore this sacred space, and the incredible heritage that is contained within it.
At the heart of St George’s is a Christian community; the church is a place for worship, reflection and exploring faith, whether church has always been part of your life, you’re simply curious, or you’re not quite sure what you believe. It's also here for the important moments in life, including christenings, weddings and funerals, and as a place of welcome, support and friendship through all the different seasons of life.
You don’t have to be a churchgoer to be part of what happens at St George’s. Come along, get involved, or simply pop in - you’ll be very welcome.
