Trafford Town Hall Library

Based on the ground floor of Trafford Town Hall, the Town Hall Library is a peaceful space to sit and read or work at the small collection of PCs that are available for public use. Access to the Wifi is free and visitors can browse a curated selection of books and audiobooks on CD as well as reserving titles from other Trafford libraries. 

Visitors to the library can also enjoy a coffee and chat in the Terrace Café, also based in Trafford Town Hall.

From M60 Junction 7 exit the roundabout onto the A56 (Chester Road) heading north toward Stretford/Manchester.

Follow Chester Road straight, turn right onto Talbot Road (A5014), and you will find Trafford Town Hall on your right just past the Lancashire Cricket Ground.

Dedicated disabled parking is available at the Warwick Road entrance, with nearby public pay-and-display parking bays lining Talbot Road and surrounding side streets.

Just Minutes from the Train or Tram Station!

Take the Metrolink Altrincham, Bury, or Airport lines directly to the Old Trafford Metrolink stop.

Exit the platform, walk north up Warwick Road for 5 minutes, and turn left onto Talbot Road where the main Town Hall reception and library are located right at the corner.

Travelling by rail? Arrive at Manchester Piccadilly or Deansgate Station before taking the Metrolink line to Old Trafford.

Getting Here by Bus is Simple!

Take the Bee Network bus lines 79, 253, 255, 256 or 263 which stops directly outside the building.

Exiting at the Talbot Road / Warwick Road or White City stops walk straight ahead toward the Town Hall which is directly ahead.

Using the pedestrian crossing, enter the ground floor reception where the library is located.
