Woodheys Park
Opened in the early 1970s, Woodheys Park in Sale is home to wide grassy areas, fruit trees and a protected area of woodland. There's also an 18 hole pitch and put golf course on site, which is open every day from Easter to September, with clubs and golf balls available for hire from the Golf Office for a small fee.
Children can let off steam at the park's playground, and there's a five a side football pitch on site for friendly matches. Regular wellbeing walks set off from the park's pavilion, and those interested in helping to maintain this Green Flag award winning green space can volunteer for the active Friends of Woodheys Park group.
The park's opening hours change throughout the year - always check ahead before visiting.
