Orienteering

Fancy an outdoor adventure? Head to Sale Water Park for an exciting orienteering adventure, with a choice of courses to suit all ages and abilities.

New to orienteering? No problem! Advice and instruction will be available to help you get started. If you’re unsure which course is right for you, feel free to get in touch by emailing events@mdoc.org.uk beforehand.

Fancy a run with a twist? The Red course is ideal for runners who’d like to give orienteering a go, but are worried about getting lost. It offers a decent-length Saturday morning run with straightforward navigation — the perfect introduction to the sport.

And remember, you don’t have to run. Using a clear, easy-to-follow map, you’ll navigate the course at your own pace, finding control markers along the way.

So, grab your trainers, bring your sense of adventure and come and run, navigate and explore Sale Water Park!
